KARA Members Want To Terminate Contract With DSP

Today it was announced that four members of KARA (Nicole, Jiyoung, Hara and Seungyeon) want to terminate their exclusive contract with DSP Media. KARA's leader Gyuri is not mentioned among the members.

Through the lawyers of the four members, it was said that DSP had been unfairly treating the group, forcing them to attend loaded schedules without previous discussions. They had tried their best to work and compromise with the company, but now things have gotten to the point where they have lost confidence in with DSP Media.

DSP Media responded that they will release their official statement on the situation soon.

SBS Gayo Daejun 2010 Performances

Hosting SBS Gayo Daejun this year was Kim Heechul, Jung Yonghwa, Jo Kwon, and Hwang Jung Eum. For Yonghwa and Heechul, it was their second year in a row to MC the event. Many of K-Pop's top names this year came together for the show. As expected, there were many special stages.

KARA to make acting debut through Japanese drama, “URAKARA”

KARA will be making their acting debuts next year through a reality show called “URAKARA” on Japan’s TV Tokyo 24.

“URAKARA” is a ‘dating mission drama’, in which the girls are given missions involving both virtual and reality dating. The show plans to reveal the different sides of the members, while delighting viewers with their innocence on the subject of love.

Sankei Sports revealed, “The members will be using both Japanese and Korean in their script. Filming will take place in both countries as well. They’re able to converse comfortably in Japanese, but they’ll be studying the language more intensively in order to express a broader variety of emotions. They’re excited, but are also nervous.”

The drama consists of 12 episodes in total and will begin airing on January 14th.

KARA is also currently promoting their latest single “Jumping” in both Korea and Japan.

[New MV] Kara - Jumping

Jumping will be their second Japanese single and will be released on November 10 in Japan. Unlike their previous Japanese single, Jumping is new song and not a remake of a previously popular Korean song by them.

Even though it is in a different language, you can easily feel Kara's usual energy and catchyness from the MV and song.

Biography:At the age of 14, Ji-young is now the youngest of Kara. Not long ago, she confessed that she likes Big Bang's Daesung...what do you think? For my opinion, I think they make a perfect couple! =)

Biography:As the third youngest in Kara, HaRa tried out for other entertainments also. She tried out for JYP Entertainment but sadly didn't make it. It was said that she knew Seung-ri from Big Bang because they both went to dancing school together with Ji-young also. What's with this thing with BIG BANG?!!!^^


FORMER MEMBER:



Former Kara Member,Kim Sung-hee, had to leave because of her school grades and health issues dealing with stress. Her father wanted her to continue on with her studies first and then may come back to Kara. In order to fill up her space, DSP Entertainment auditioned girls and found Kang Ji Young and Koo HaRa. Kara is now a five member group instead of a four member group and are debuting with their song "Rock U".^^

Biography:Sung-hee was a really talented girl when she was still singing. She sang for the korean drama "Three Leaf Clover" featuring Lee Hyori. She was the main vocal in the group and never gave up!
