Rookie actors Taecyeon (from 2PM) and Suzy (from miss A) must be pleased to act opposite a veteran star in their upcoming drama. Top hallyu actor Bae Yong Joon has begun shooting scenes for the KBS musical miniseries "Dream High".
The drama follows the lives of students who attend a performing arts school. Like the popular American show, "Glee", "Dream High" will incorporate songs and dances to convey the story. Bae will portray the director of the school. Taecyeon and Suzy will play students who excel at dancing and singing. Fellow 2PM member Wooyoung will also take part in the drama as an exchange student.
If the cast sounds heavy on the JYP, there's a good reason: "Dream High" is being co-produced by JYP Entertainment, as well as CJ Media and KeyEast Entertainment, of which Bae Yong Joon is a major shareholder. Park Jin Young composed the musical arrangements for the drama, while Bae helmed the planning and production.
This role is Bae Yong Joon's first in almost four years. The actor showed up to filming with a longer hairdo than his fans have been accustomed to seeing.
